Business License? Check. Health inspection? Check. Outdoor furniture? Check. Branded awning? Don't need it to enjoy a crepe, time to open! Point Chaud Cafe and Crepes had its grand opening at 2300 Wisconsin Avenue NW in Glover Park yesterday 10/1/19 after some minor administrative delays typical in DC. They have replaced Starbucks, which vacated in the spring as part of a larger corporate plan to close many stores (see prior article), and have secured this coveted corner location with 1000 square feet of street-front patio for customers.

Mourad Vacimi, the store manager, has been working hard to get the store open and to streamline the process for customers so that they have a good experience. Come grab a crepe and a coffee (that is one major espresso machine they have secured), and sit out on the patio once the temperature drops below 97 degrees like today. You will have a choice of 26 savory crepes and 43 sweet crepes and a coffee selection larger than Starbucks. Paninis, quiche and salads also are on the menu. The interior looks great and inviting when the weather on the patio is not ideal.
