Casolare, a new Italian restaurant, has opened at the freshly renovated and re-branded Kimpton Glover Park Hotel (formerly Savoy Suites) at 2505 Wisconsin Avenue. Casolare was created by famed chef Michael Schlow, who has received a multitude of culinary awards and has appeared often in the media to discuss his craft. Philippe Reininger, formerly with Ritz Carlton Hotels, has been named executive chef.
The dinner menu offers a wide variety of antipasti, pasta and seafood, plus pizza and meat, with main courses ranging from about $15-$35. Casolare is the second upscale Italian restaurant to open in Glover Park following Arcuri, which opened in the Cavanagh's Pizza location a couple of years ago. Casolare website
