Hi all,

Our wonderful nanny, America (Amé or Meri, as nicknames) Guardado, is looking for other job opportunities in the DC area, aiming to start in August 2017. My husband, kids and I are moving in the beginning of August and we can't take America with us (as much as we wish we could!).

Meri started working for us in January 2017, caring for my, at that time, 3 month old son and another girl, a 4 month old, from a neighboring town. Meri is the sweetest, most patient caregiver I could have asked for; she clearly deeply loves children and takes a holistic approach to her job, checking in on the babies on weekends, taking the kids to the park, the library, and out around the neighborhood. If she sees that a few dishes need to be washed or some laundry folded, she will chip in, as she likes to develop a good, close relationship based on respect and trust with the families of her nanny share. She is fabulous with the babies and even my 3 year old daughter adores Miss Meri.

Ideally she is looking for something in DC, easily accessible by public transportation. Ideally, she charges somewhere in the range of $20-30/hour for 1-2 kids. She is happy to discuss with an interested family what works for them and what she can afford to take.
