Please join us at the Glover Park Hotel on January 31st, for an evening of food, drinks and community. Friends of Guy Mason Recreation Center, Inc. is delighted to announce that the Glover Park Hotel and Foxhall Partners will once again donate this party for our major fundraising effort.

Friends of Guy Mason is a small 501(c)(3) charitable organization. As a partner with the DC Department of Parks and Recreation, we advocate for the community of neighbors and users of the center, lobbying for more timely repairs and maintenance of the building and grounds. Recently, several popular courses slated for cancellation were reinstated. And the building hours have been extended. We use funds raised to enhance our community and supplement the city’s role in making the Center more appealing and attractive. Recently we donated and installed outdoor adult exercise equipment. And we have had great success with planting the pollinator garden on the Calvert Street level. If you have not been to the center recently, please come visit to see the progress made in the past year. We continue to fill in gaps when the city comes up short—activities such as playground equipment repair, sand replenishment, and general cleanup. In preparation of Glover Park Day, we hired a crew to take care of the overgrown weeds, and last year, we even hired a plumber to repair a sink in the building.
