Just went to mail letters using the US Post Service box at 41st and Davis and my mail got stuck on the chute lid and wouldn't budge. Someone has smeared sticky adhesive all over it, probably hoping to catch your tax return to steal your identity or alter the check to pay themselves. The problem with this box has been reported, but mail delivery in the neighborhood is so inconsistent that I'm not counting on the adhesive being cleaned up any time soon, and nothing is stopping the perps from returning to this box or hitting others in the neighborhood.
